              Invitations
The fun and anticipation of entertaining begins the moment you mail your first invitation. Whether you're planning a small gathering of friends or a grand celebration, the right invitation entices even the most seasoned party goer.

              Invitation for a Bridal Shower

For this bridal shower Nik's train of thought took a literal bent - going from 'shower' to 'soap'. He asked guests to wear bathrobes, be prepared for a face mask and he's got plans to capture their mud packed faces on film!

              Materials
              • one of each for the number of invited guests
              • special paper
              • bars of lovely soap
              • glittery gold seals
              • gossamer fine pink ribbon
              Assembly

              • Write the invitation with relevant details and fun 'instructions' to guests on the paper.
              • Place the soap on the paper and wrap it up.
              • Rather than tape, use a gold seal to close the package.
              • Tie with a gossamer pink ribbon and a simple bow.

              Invitation to a Picnic

              Materials
              • 2 styles of cocktail napkins of different sizes per each invitation
              • vellum paper
              • hole puncher
              • jute cord
              • pinking shears
              • decorative fuzzy bee on wire
              Assembly

              • Write the relevant details of the picnic on the vellum.
              • Open larger napkin like a card and place vellum inside.
              • Insert second smaller napkin.
              • Punch holes through both sides of napkins and vellum.
              • Thread jute cord through holes and tie with a simple knot.
              • Illustrate invitation with a simple, caricature of a picnic goer.
              • Trim invitation with pinking shears, carefully lining up cuts to give a neat zigzag
              • edge and a triangular corner.
              • Punch a hole on the overleaf and loop the bee's wire through. Secure with a twist.
